![]() | Henrie de BoerGrant Writer, Grantsmanship Consulting Henrie has 9 years’ experience in grant development, writing, and communications, and has been working as a professional writer and grantsmanship consultant for 4 years. Her previous work includes 5 years sourcing and compiling research-specific grants in the healthcare and academic sectors, including analyzing government and foundation criteria, tailoring teams and submissions for applicability, and then providing progress and financial reports to board members, project staff, foundations and/or government ministries. Henrie has a bachelor’s degree in English, and a master’s degree in Adult Education. Henrie is passionate about the environment, health, and social justice, and her life is her testament. She and her husband live off the grid, growing fruit and vegetables for themselves and their community, and working to generate their own micro-hydro power from their creek. She is a founding director of an organization that partners schools in Africa with schools in Canada, and partner in a mountain biking program for young people, with people biking their way to freedom, fitness, and confident living. For fun, she runs the forest trails with her dog, kayaks the Sechelt Inlet, and writes children’s books. |

She is attending Douglas College on a part time basis to earn an Accounting Management Degree. Patti was born and raised in Coquitlam and continues to live in the Tri-City area with her two sons. |
Sharman LeariePrograms Coordinator Sharman works with the Rivershed Society of British Columbia as the Director of Educational Programs. In 2000, Sharman joined Fin's swim down the Fraser, paddling next to Fin in a kayak and joining him in the community celebrations along the river. Sharman worked closely with Fin in the co-designing of the Sustainable Living and Leadership Program and more recently completed his Masters Thesis entitled: Transforming Leaders, Changing Lives, which highlighted the efficacy of the SLLP in creating environmental leaders. Sharman has also worked with the Fraser Headwaters Alliance, and The Land Conservancy of British Columbia on projects such as: Salmon Habitat Mapping and Signage, the establishing of the Natasha Boyd Wildland Preserve, and in initiating the Robson Valley Economic Development Strategy. Sharman lives in Kamloops with his wife Kathryn and his two children, Fisher and Indigo. | |
![]() | Jasmine MasonProject Administrator Jasmine has a background in environmental education as an invertebrate biology teacher at the aquarium and as a whale watch naturalist out in the wilds of the Salish Sea. She also brings with her valuable administration experience in project and data management. She has volunteered with RSBC on the Research Committee for two years and began her current role as Project Adminstrator in the beginning of this year. |

![]() | Doug RadiesSLLP Facilitator Doug Radies worked full time on parks and wilderness and land use issues in British Columbia from 1989-2002. In 1990, Doug spearheaded the campaign to protect the Cariboo Mountains of BC, which led to a moratorium and ultimately a 130,000 hectare protected area between Bowron Lake and Wells Gray Provincial Parks in the central interior of BC. He participated in the Cariboo and Robson Valley Land Use Planning Processes and, in 1995, co-founded the Quesnel River Watershed Alliance, a Cariboo-based grass-roots conservation group working to protect and maintain the overall health of the Quesnel Rivershed, the most productive sockeye salmon producing tributary of the Fraser River. Doug conducted extensive research and fieldwork in BC’s interior, producing tabloids, reports, magazine articles, posters, brochures, slide shows, and videos about the environment.
