Newspapers, plastics and plants made wearable!
VANCOUVER, BC- You never know what will be made into garments at the Green Millennium Fashion Show- this year being held at Heritage Hall at 8pm on Thursday April 24,2003.
For the third year running, this Earth Day celebration will feature innovative, stylish and eco-friendly designs by both local designers as well as design students from the local fashion programs. The buzzwords at this event are re-duce, re-work and re-cycle. You will find everything from re-worked vintage clothing to hemp wear to haute couture bubble wrap- all focused on a reduced environmental impact.
Tickets are only $15 and all proceeds from the event go to the Rivershed Society of British Columbia (www.rivershed.com), a non -profit organization dedicated to river and water conservation.
Earth Day is celebrated by more than six million Canadians and 500 million people worldwide; so come out and celebrate with this ecological fashion fusion.
